If you could write yourself into any story, what one would it be, and why that one?

I am being presently written into a story in which the last chapter is not yet finished. It is a story of human existence, the evolution of collective consciousness, which has been pummeled with dreadful ideologies and given a diet of seemingly unbreakable dogmas. The story will eventually tell of how all religious and man made dogma is finally dissolved by knowledge. It will tell of humanity reaching a place where Divine Inspiration is no longer hindered by evil devices and of a more ethereal existence for all.
