How Can I Change?!?!?

well me an my recent boyfriend broke up about 5 months ago an ever since then we stayed the same, meaning that we hang out basically every day etc.. But now things got different. Reality basically hit us. every time we hung out he was the only one picking me up and paying for me ALL THE TIME. and yea i appreciated that but it wasn't the same to him. I mean i don't have my license so i can"t pick him up and i don't have a job which means i don't have money to pay for him. I want things to switch around. i rarely ask for the things he do. I don't want to lose our friendship i mean we've grown so close to each other over the 2 years we've know each other. but the thing is... he is leaving in 9 months to go to college and im staying here which hurts allot so im trying my best to cherish every minute with him but how can i when i want to be able to pay and take him places? I really don't know what to do. I mean i love him to death and i want to show him but how??
